Rafael Montez
is a Brazilian writer, screenwriter and lawyer born in 1990. He is one of Brazil’s most important crime writers. He began his literary career in 2010 with the novel Suicide, which won several awards in Brazil, including the 2012 Brazilian National Library Award. São Paulo Literary Award in 2013. It has sold more than 15,000 copies. He then published his second novel, Woman in a Suitcase, under the title Perfect Days, which was a huge success and was translated into more than 13 languages and was also a bestseller. The Arabic translation was published in 2019. He also published Woman in the Dark in 2020. which won the Jabuti Award for Entertainment Literature in 2020. In 2023, the Arabic translation of his novel The Village of Seven Sins was published.
